"We're moving to South Africa!"
"Really? Cool! … uh. But, Why South Africa??!"
For many friends, colleagues, and family members, most who live in North America and Europe, South Africa seems an odd choice. It's far away, a terribly (read: "too") exotic destination, and is often cited in studies for its crime statistics.
